Wedding Butterflies
Another month gone already...I seem to only manage 3 weeks in a row and then it all goes to pot! Very much like my activity at the gym lol!
Today I thought I'd air a simple use of the lovely Mocha Morning DSP, which is now sadly on the retired list - along with the letters used to do the title....I'm really going to miss using those as they are a great size and font for scrapbook pages.
Thanks for visiting.

All my own work!
I'm really enjoying scrapbooking at the moment, although sometimes it comes really easily, I find at other times I struggle to produce anything at all! I had a day of two halves yesterday at Mj's crop in Thatcham. I always have a lovely day, but sometimes do nothing but sit and watch other people....which isn't very productive, but I must admit one of my favourite pass times...people watching should be a job in it's own right, I think I'd be brilliant at it! ;-)I did manage to finish one layout and am quite pleased with the end result. (I know my photography skills need work, but the words are deliberately wonky - just in case you were wondering lol.)
I've used the Blossom Punch which is a real favourite at the moment....as if you hadn't guessed! :-) I must admit I haven't really utilised the DSP packs to their full potential this year, sticking to just a couple of favourites most of the time...something I'm trying to rectify at the moment....look out for a very out of my comfort zone layout coming up shortly!
I'm now off out to enjoy some sunshine at last...doesn't it just make you feel so much happier when the sun is shining?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope to see you back again soon.

Team Training Swap
Just back from a great day at Amanda's Quarterly Team Training. As always there was loads of inspiration and great ideas to help kickstart a sluggish creative mind. If I'm not feeling very inspired when I get there I'm most certainly not stuck for ideas by the time I leave!
There were loads of swaps and some amazing things on display on the Demonstrators Choice table. My lovely downline Colette had made a fantastic little craft bag to hold all your essential crafting tools - just wonderful. I'll have to take a photo the next time I see her to show you what I mean.....you'll all want one is all I'm saying ;-)
This is one of the swaps I made and as Amanda's theme this time was Christmas I thought I would keep in line with this. I've used the Ornament punch with the stamp set Contempo Christmas and kept it all very simple, with the colour combination of Poppy Parade and Pear Pizazz - colours that we will unfortunately be losing at the end of the current catalogue in September.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Scrapbooking - Twitterpated
How time flies....not sure what happened to June, it's gone by in a flash!
I hope you managed to enjoy the tennis. I can't quite believe that the Olympics is only a couple of weeks away now, do you still remember the moment we found out we'd won the bid - was that really all that time ago! There's frantic activity in our sleepy little village, as the road cycle race passes straight through, so this weekend the workmen have been out in force strimming down all the grass verges...though with the way things are going they'll need to be back next week to do it again!
So, back to the crafting - this is a scrapbook page of one of my friends son and daughter-in-law on their wedding day (in case you hadn't guessed ;-)). I've used the Twitterpated DSP along with some of the older punches which I find so very useful for making little accents to add here and there. I've also used some embossing folders (not quite all of them but I've had a good try :-))!
My photography skills don't really do the page justice as IRL it looks much more fresh and vibrant. I'll seriously have to work on that.
Hope to be back with some more soon.
Thanks for taking time to stop by and leave me a comment - I really appreciate it.

Colours

So this week's Simply Stampin Challenge is another colour challenge....love it. I must admit I'm much more of a Subtles girl, but these colours really work well together and I'm definitely coming round to using more of the Brights collection.
I've used the stamp set Everything Eleanor and used the rock and roll technique to colour the edges of the flowers in Cherry Cobbler. I've also used 3 different embossing folders to add dimension and interest to the card - adding just a little Bakers Twine around the heart for a little accent. (Although the twine isn't the exact colour match with Tangerine Tango I don't think it looks too far off ;-) - mind you I do need to wear my glasses more, so I could be wrong!)
I hope you've all enjoyed the extended weekend, I know I have, it's been great to be able to have a lie in on a weekday! ;-)
Have a great week and I hope to see you next time.

Red, White and Blue
A very simple card today, and as it's the Diamond Jubilee weekend it just had to be red, white and blue. This was the starting point for my earlier card, which I entered into the Simply Stampin Challenge for one of their previous colour challenges. I'd already decided to do this simple version for my swap at recent team training!
Right, I'd better get back to the cleaning.... I'm doing one of those jobs that you get half way through and begin to wonder why you started it in the first place! ;-) Only plus is I've got a week off work this week so once I've sorted all the washing and cleaning I can relax and spend some time creating...my favourite thing to do :-)
Hope you all have a great Bank Holiday weekend.
Be back again soon.

Garden Jungle
What a beautiful day! I've just returned home from Amanda's team training which was really good as usual. It's always great to meet up with everyone and get loads of inspiration from swaps and inspiration tables - only down side to this is that I see loads of lovely things made with stamp sets I never thought I wanted, and now, not only do I think I would like them, I actually NEED them!! :-)
This is another of the pages I made last weekend....much more masculine than my last one! It does look better IRL!
I'd love to say that the garden is now a beautifully landscaped and well tended space where I can sit and relax, but alas not.... I can try and pretend it's now a meadow like area, but even that would be pushing it! One day it will move to the top of my priority list...one day!
Thanks for looking and thank you for leaving your comments, I really appreciate them.
