SAB and a new Spring Summer Seasonal Catalogue

Hello and welcome, boy have we got loads of new stuff going on today! Not only does the annual Sale-A-Bration (SAB) event kick off today, but we also have a brand new Spring Summer Seasonal Catalogue to tempt you too.

During Sale a Bration, which runs until 31 March 2014, for every 45 pounds you spend on SU products you can choose an item from the SAB brochure for free :-) You can take a look at the brochure by clicking on the picture on my side bar.

I've made a simple card today using 'Happy Watercolour', a lovely new stamp set in the Spring Summer catalogue. I've stamped the flower image twice in Basic Black onto Calypso Coral card, and then cut the image out and layered it up using dimensionals. Not a great shot of the layering from this angle, but believe me when I say this certainly has loads of dimension IRL. The 'Thank You' sentiment is from the same set and has been stamped in Basic Black onto Crumb Cake card, and then mounted onto a Whisper White card base. With the addition of a few gems, some linen thread and a couple of punched Calypso Coral elements you're done.

Please do contact me if you'd like to book a party during SAB.

Have a great week.

Another Mother's Day

Okay, enough with the Mother's and Father's Day cards I can hear you cry! This is my last Mother's Day card (for a while at least) and was actually made before the Father's Day one with the same design layout.

As my mum doesn't own a computer I don't really need to worry that she might see it, and as I'm so far ahead of the game I'll probably put it somewhere safe ready to give to her and then forget I've done it, so even if she does see it it probably won't be the one she actually ends up receiving! ;-)

Time to move on to something different, so please do pop back as I'll have some sneak peeks from the seasonal catalogue and Sale-a-Bration next. Off to try and be creative....once I've done the washing, ironing and housework!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Six Sided Sampler meets Lacy and Lovely

Another Father's Day offering for you today.
I generally use the die cut letters for scrapbook page titles as they are a really nice size for that purpose, but by using just one as a main focal point I think this one has worked quite nicely for this slightly eclectic card.
The colours I've used on this card are Pool Party, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The image behind the six sided sampler is from the Lacy and Lovely stamp set (not one that you would perhaps immediately think of to use on a male themed card!).

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your lovely comments which are always very much appreciated.

Have a great week.

Mix and match

It's always good to have a few standby cards for those occasions when you realize it's someone's birthday or anniversary tomorrow....(I'm planning on being more prepared this year!).

I've used the Naturals Ivory cardstock as my base for this card. It's a really great weight for cards and I haven't used it nearly enough. This layout could be rotated and would look good whichever way you decided to use it, portrait or landscape and either this way or the other way up. Try it yourself and you'll see what I mean (I hope!) :-)

I'll be having an open day at my house on Saturday 1st February to showcase the new Spring Summer seasonal catalogue, which is launched on 28th January, so lots of lovely new products to see and buy. If you'd like to come along and do a make and take and have a cuppa then please register here so that I can have a seasonal catalogue ready and waiting for you. I look forward to seeing you.

Have a great day.

Fathers Day odds and ends

Another odds and ends card today. As I'd done Mothers Day I figured Fathers Day was also a good bet. I'm getting a bit ahead of the game for a change :-)

The six sided sampler is great for men's cards. Change the colours and add some flowers instead of stars and you have a more feminine version, which I think would work equally well.

Hope you're having a great start to 2014.
Thanks for stopping by.
